Born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Stephanie is a self-taught artist who began painting in the mid 1990’s. In 2008 she was encouraged to seek training and she began to study at the Ed Roche School of Art here in St. John’s.
Following graduation from the Collage of the North Atlantic, Stephanie worked as a graphic designer with the Navigator Magazine and then with the British Group of Companies where her artistic skills were highly sought. Following the birth of her second child, Stephanie chose to remain at home and today she practices as a freelance graphic designer and divides her time between the raising of two busy boys and her art and as if she wasn’t busy enough, Stephanie is also a serving member of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment Band. Her travels provides no end of inspiration for her art. Stephanie says that she is inspired by the beautiful rugged coast line of Newfoundland, picturesque villages and her family. She lives with her husband Tom and sons Andrew and Zachery in the beautiful community of Flatrock, Newfoundland and Labrador.
Since beginning her training with Ed Roche, Stephanie has taken part in several group exhibitions and her work can be found in both public and private collections.
